The compositions in this series of prints were created from a photograph of sunlight reflecting off of two different glass surfaces—a bus window and a glass tile wall of a Mercedes-Benz dealership located in New York City. The light reflections were enhanced in Photoshop, along with the addition of colors and a very faint photograph of a beach with seagulls, sand and hotels. The different color combinations printed with varying intensities in a four-color silk screen process created a variety of deconstructions of the original digital image.

An image produced from a four-color silk screen process is created by separately printing four different color plates of cyan, magenta, yellow and black. For this project, the cyan and black plates were printed with several different transparent hues of blue and dark grey-blue. Once the four plates were printed, two additional plates of transparent black and white were printed on a selection of prints. The overall result is that each print is uniquely different, yet still remaining unified within the look and feel of the complete series.
